Elaine helps people to find creative solutions in even the most diverse and challenging contexts. Through her work, organisational leaders successfully translate business strategy and policy into practice for maximum performance impact.

She is an experienced Action Learning facilitator and uses Appreciative Enquiry techniques for strengths based approaches in her work. She designs and facilitates learning, consultation and development processes, working with Boards, senior management development programmes, and project and service user groups.

Her particular skill is helping Boards and senior managers to address complex leadership issues amidst fast moving organisational change.

Elaine’s specialisms are:

Elaine's organisational and management development experience is extensive. From teaching she went to manage a leading third sector organisation. She was then selected to develop national strategy as a central government advisor before establishing her own successful business as a management consultant.

She is valued for her contribution to the development of diverse third sector organisations - national and local - and wrote a management column for Third Sector magazine (to 2009).

She works across the sectors, moving fluidly between different clients and cultures – recent examples include youth services, disability, housing, domestic abuse, volunteering, accessible environments and patient and public involvement.

Recent clients include Macmillan Cancer Support, Sight Concern Worcestershire, Citizens Advice (national) and Shepherds Dene Retreat Centre.

Elaine is a former chair of Stonewall www.stonewall.org.uk (national lesbian, gay and bisexual equality campaigning organisation),and remains passionate about working positively with diversity and difference. She is a member of the Institute for Volunteering Research Advisory Group and a trustee of the Beth Johnson Foundation. She lives in Sheffield.
